Gutters can be made of a number of materials, although galvanized steels are some of the toughest and most pliable materials to work with.

‍Downspouts

A downspout may have many names, including waterspout, downpipe, drain spout or drain pipe. Essentially, it’s a pipe that carries water from the gutter to the ground or a drainage system in the ground. A downspout works simply by connecting to the gutter and letting gravity do the rest as the channelled water looks for a proper outlet.
